Peggy Porschen - Cafe (Chelsea, London)
Updated: Nov 18, 2019
Beautiful flowers, decor and cupcakes.
Opened in 2019, Peggy Porschen Chelsea is the 2nd parlour to be opened by cake designer, author and Creative Director Peggy Porschen and her husband Bryn Morrow.
The original parlour can be found in Belgravia.
What's on the menu?
Croissants, Pancakes, Tea and Coffee but it's all about the cakes and cupcakes...from Red Velvet and Glorious Victoria to Pavlova and Chocolate.
There are also plenty of Vegan options too.
You must try...
The Salted Caramel Cupcake.
For £5.40 a cupcake this is definitely a place to appreciate the craft, decor and experience rather than count the pennies.
Classic Layer cakes - £6.75 a slice
Crowd & Atmosphere
Being in a busy area of London (and attracting so much attention due to the parlours beauty) getting a table will always be difficult so best to avoid lunchtime if you require a seat.
The parlour is split in to 3 main areas (The Cafe, The Lounge and The Salon) and 2 more areas (The Pink Peony Bar and The Chelsea Rose Room) for private hire and group bookings.
The Cafe has 5 tables for 2 people each situated opposite the cake counter.
The Lounge consists of 1 table and soft seating for up to 8 people.
The Salon is a dining area with a mixture chairs and booth-style seating for up to 22 people.
The Pink Peony Bar is an exclusive 4 seater bar with standing room for 4 more.
The Chelsea Rose Room is large private dining room for up to 20 people.
This gorgeous cafe is understandably popular with Instagrammers and you are aware of passers by peering in due to its attractive exterior. Make sure you avoid peak times if you wish to avoid the crowds and bag yourself a table...the cakes are well worth getting a table for!
